Two Swedish cities rocked by explosions

Located in a district of Gothenburg, in the north of Sweden, a residential building was the target of a bomb attack on Wednesday morning.

The police are trying to make the link with another explosion which took place the day before in a building located in the east of the Swedish capital. Two people were injured in Stockholm on Tuesday. And a suspect was arrested for attempted murder.

Sweden faces violence linked to drug trafficking. Score-settling between rival gangs which led to a wave of bomb explosions and shootings.

In 2022, the country saw 391 shootings in 2022, 62 of which were fatal.
