Two settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque and blow the trumpet news

Occupied Jerusalem- Today, Friday, two Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and blew a trumpet in the Marwani prayer hall, before they were arrested by the Israeli police.

According to a brief statement from the Islamic Endowments Department after the end of Friday prayers, “two Jewish extremists pushed an (Israeli) policeman and one of the mosque guards (affiliated with the Endowments) who were in Bab al-Qattanin (one of the doors of the Al-Aqsa Mosque), and they quickly went towards the Marwani prayer hall with the police and guards in pursuit.” “For them.”

She added that the two settlers “prostrated themselves on the ground, blew the horn, and were arrested by the occupation police.”

The blowing of the trumpet is a ritual that symbolizes superiority and sovereignty, according to what was previously stated to Tel Aviv Tribune Net by the researcher in Jerusalem affairs, Ziyad Ibhais, adding that the extremists also consider it a separation between two times, “the time of his Islamic identity, which they imagine has ended, and the time of his Judaization, which they think has begun.”

Yesterday, Thursday, 460 settlers participated in storming the mosque in response to calls to storm the Jewish New Year, and during the storming, some of them “danced, applauded, and performed the epic ritual of prostration (prostrating on the ground) collectively in the eastern courtyards of the mosque under the protection of the occupation police,” according to what an eyewitness confirmed to Tel Aviv Tribune Net.

It is expected that in the coming weeks there will be more raids on the mosque with the advent of Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and the so-called “Seal of the Torah.”

According to specialists in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque affairs, the Jewish holiday season – which began with the Hebrew New Year – is one of the most dangerous seasons for Al-Aqsa Mosque, and this year it comes under an extremist government in which officials participate in storming the mosque.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces prevented hundreds of worshipers from entering the mosque to perform Friday prayers, and confrontations broke out between them and the worshipers at Lions Gate, during which they were attacked.

At the invitation of the Friday preacher and the Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, the worshipers performed the absentee prayer “for the souls of all the martyrs here in our pure and blessed land, the land of Palestine, and there in the land of Lebanon and in the homes of Muslims,” according to what was stated in the sermon.

The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque asked about the role of the Islamic nation regarding the ongoing aggression against Palestine and Lebanon (Al-Jazeera)

Al-Aqsa’s preacher criticized the “silence of the Islamic nation” regarding the killing and destruction taking place in Palestine and Lebanon, asking, “How long will you neglect and hesitate to support Jerusalem, its farthest reaches, and its sanctities, and to support its patient, steadfast people despite all the challenges and despite all the conspiracies?! Where is your Islam?! And where is your faith?” !

He said, “This land (Palestine), no matter how much disbelief and tyranny prevails in it, will remain, by God’s will and ability, a land of stability, a land of steadfastness, a land of the people of this people who ransomed it and are ransomizing it with their blood and souls.”

Since October 2023, the occupation has imposed severe restrictions on the Palestinians of Jerusalem, including the access of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, while the Israeli government supports settlers’ raids on the mosque 5 days a week.

A year ago, the Israeli occupation launched a massive aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in more than 138,000 martyrs and wounded. It was followed by a massive aggression against Lebanon on September 23, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and wounded.
