Two Palestinians were injured in clashes between the Authority and the resistance, and the siege of Jenin camp continues news

Local sources confirmed to Tel Aviv Tribune on Sunday that two Palestinians, one of them a child, were injured in clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and the authority’s security services in the Jenin camp in the northern occupied West Bank.

The sources indicated that the violent clashes taking place in the camp caused a house to catch fire.

The sources also reported that violent clashes and explosions were heard in the vicinity of Al-Damj neighborhood during the security services’ attempt to enter the camp.

The Jenin Camp Media Committee said that the Palestinian Authority has besieged the camp for 39 days, preventing the movement of civilians and turning their homes into military points.

It also called on the local community and human rights institutions to intervene urgently to stop the violations taking place in the camp, noting that the authorities’ agencies targeted citizens’ homes with missiles, which led to their destruction and the injury of a number of civilians.

Since last month, the Palestinian security forces have continued a military operation in the Jenin camp under the pretext of pursuing what they called “outlaws,” while Palestinian factions – including the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Popular Front and Islamic Jihad – accused the Palestinian security services of pursuing the resistance fighters.

The clashes resulted in the killing of 6 members of the security forces and 8 citizens, including a commander of the Jenin Brigade.

According to the residents, the Palestinian Authority security forces issued instructions to the filling stations in the area not to supply the Jenin camp with any amount of fuel.

Camp residents accuse Authority security personnel of shooting at the main transformers supplying electricity, causing them to burn.

As a result of preventing waste transport vehicles from entering the Jenin camp, piles of waste and garbage bags piled up in the camp’s already destroyed and bulldozed streets as a result of previous Israeli incursions, which portends a very dangerous health situation.
