The Nemitz aircraft carrier is the first unit of its nuclear category in the US Navy, and it entered service in 1975 and continues its operations to this day.
The dimensions of the carrier are 333 meters in length, with a total load of up to 100,000 tons, and it depends on its operation on two nuclear reactors that provide them with an unlimited operation without the need to refuel.
The maximum speed of the carrier reaches 30 nuns, equivalent to approximately 56 km per hour, and the number of its crew is more than 5,000 individuals, including pilots and various support crews.
The carrier carries from 60 to 70 aircraft and combat helicopters, including fighters of various groups and early warning aircraft. Its electronic equipment also includes radar, disturbance and advanced control systems, in addition to an advanced driving center that enables it to work as a portable combat operations center in the seas.
The trend towards the Middle East
Marin Travik’s website data showed that the American aircraft carrier “Nemetz” left the southern China Sea on Monday morning heading to the west towards the Middle East, after canceling its messenger, which was scheduled in the port of Vietnam.
The aircraft carrier was planning to visit the Vietnamese city of Danang, but two sources, one of whom was a diplomat, said that the official account that was scheduled for June 20 had been canceled.
One of the exporters said that the American embassy in Hanoi informed him of the cancellation due to “urgent operating requirements.”
The American embassy has not yet responded to a request from Reuters to comment.
According to the website of the US fleet commander in the Pacific Ocean, the “Nemitz Carrier Strike” group, followed by the aircraft carrier, carried out naval security operations in the South China Sea last week as part of the routine of the American Navy in the Indian and Hadi area.
