Two Palestinians were martyred in the occupied West Bank in less than 24 hours, while fierce clashes erupted between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Qabatiya, Jenin district, while dozens of extremist settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of a Palestinian boy by the occupation army’s bullets near the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, at dawn on Wednesday.

The ministry added that the occupation forces detained the body of the boy Hassan Yousef Al-Shaer (17 years old), without disclosing the reason for shooting and killing him, or the possibility of handing over his body to his family.

Earlier on Wednesday, citizen Samir Amar (55 years old) was martyred by Israeli occupation bullets near the apartheid wall close to the Shuwaika suburb, north of the city of Tulkarm in the West Bank.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces shot Aamer while he was trying to cross into Palestine for the purpose of working, without posing a threat to the occupation forces, which led to him being shot with a fatal bullet in the chest.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated that the number of Palestinian martyrs killed by the occupation forces in the West Bank has risen to 706 martyrs, since the outbreak of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has entered its 348th day.

Qabatiya clashes

Meanwhile, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation army sent reinforcements to the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, after special forces stormed the town.

In turn, the Jenin Battalion, affiliated with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said that “its fighters in the Qabatiya groups were able to discover a special Zionist force while trying to besiege a house.”

Al-Quds Brigades added in a statement that its fighters are engaged in fierce battles with the Israeli enemy forces around the besieged house in Qabatiya, and have showered the infantry forces and military vehicles with heavy volleys of bullets, achieving direct hits.

It confirmed that its fighters in Qabatiya targeted a military vehicle with a pre-prepared explosive device and achieved a direct hit.

Storming Al-Aqsa

In occupied Jerusalem, about 90 extremist settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque today, Wednesday, from the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police.

The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that the intruders organized provocative tours in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa, and performed Talmudic rituals and prayers in the Bab al-Rahma prayer area.

The occupation police tightened its security measures on Palestinians coming to Al-Aqsa, and detained their IDs for some time.

Palestinian youth groups in Jerusalem called for people to head to Al-Aqsa Mosque, coinciding with calls from extremist Jewish and settler organizations calling themselves the “Temple Mount Associations” to increase and intensify storming of the mosque’s courtyards as the Jewish holiday season approaches next month.

Raids and arrests

In a related context, the Israeli occupation forces sent more military reinforcements towards Al-Fawar camp, south of Hebron in the West Bank, which has been witnessing a large-scale raid for several hours.

The forces raided the camp and arrested 20 Palestinians, while storming more than 50 homes and leaving widespread destruction.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus from the Awarta and Beit Furik checkpoints, south and east of the city.

The occupation forces were stationed in the Balata al-Balad area, the vicinity of Balata camp, and Askar east of the city. Settlers also stormed “Joseph’s Tomb” under the protection of the occupation army.

This comes amid clashes between resistance fighters and occupation forces, which included the explosion of homemade bombs and the firing of live ammunition.

A statement issued by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club stated that the Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and investigations since yesterday, Tuesday, until this morning, which included at least 40 citizens from the West Bank, including former prisoners.

She explained that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Salfit and Hebron, while the military campaign is still ongoing in Al-Fawar camp.

The arrests were accompanied by attacks and threats against the detainees and their families, in addition to widespread acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens’ homes.

Settler attacks

Meanwhile, settlers attacked Palestinian lands in the village of Shaab al-Batam in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Settlers raided agricultural lands and caused damage to them. Meanwhile, clashes erupted between Palestinians and the occupation forces during their raid on Al-Arroub camp, north of Hebron.

In turn, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs urged Israel to halt the forced transfer of Palestinian herding communities and the ongoing annexation of parts of the West Bank.

The office also condemned the ongoing settler attacks and harassment of Bedouin communities in the lands of Al-Mu’arrajat, one of the last remaining Bedouin communities between Ramallah and Jericho, which it said were committed with the clear complicity of Israeli security forces.
