The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of two people and the injury of 10 others by the bullets of the occupation forces in Tulkarm, north of the West Bank, after special forces infiltrated the city center, and sent military reinforcements that surrounded the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps and imposed a siege on the city’s hospitals.

On Tuesday evening, the occupation army stormed several towns and cities in the West Bank, especially in Hebron and Nablus.

This comes as Israeli Channel 12 revealed that security chiefs warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – during the last ministerial meeting – that the situation in the West Bank was on the verge of explosion, and that this could lead to attacks in which hundreds of Israelis would be killed.

The channel added that these security leaders presented to Netanyahu and the cabinet ministers information about very large and unprecedented quantities of weapons in the West Bank and warned of the possibility of a return to bombing operations.

They also recommended the need to calm the atmosphere and put forward several proposals to achieve this, including allowing Palestinian workers to return to work within the Green Line, transferring clearance funds to the Palestinian Authority, and calming tensions in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The channel explained that the security and political cabinet did not agree to any of these proposals.

Storming Tulkarm

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent in the western outskirts of Tulkarm.

The Red Crescent confirmed that the occupation forces are besieging the organization’s ambulance center in Tulkarm, and have asked the crews to leave the center.

The Israeli army said that large forces from the army, the internal security service (Shabak) and the Border Police were operating in Tulkarm, as the military operation continued in the northern West Bank.

In contrast, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said that its fighters are engaged in fierce clashes with the occupation forces storming the vicinity of Tulkarm camp.

The Al-Quds Brigades – Tulkarm Battalion also reported that its fighters showered the occupation forces with heavy volleys of bullets, achieving direct hits.

She confirmed that its elements are fighting fierce battles with the invading forces in the Al-Murabba’a axis in Tulkarm camp.

Resistance option

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that the continuation of the Israeli operation on the city of Tulkarm and its camps “will not shake our people’s adherence to resistance as an option to get rid of the occupation.”

The movement considered – in a statement – that “the occupation’s aggression will not succeed in achieving its ambitions to displace the West Bank and continue the annexation and settlement expansion plan.”

Raids

On another note, local Palestinian platforms reported that the Israeli occupation forces, accompanied by bulldozers, re-stormed the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm, in the northern West Bank.

Local Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces also stormed the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank from the At-Tur checkpoint.

It also stormed the city of Dura, south of Hebron, and patrolled a number of the city’s neighborhoods.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the occupation army fired live bullets, sound bombs and tear gas during the storming of the city.

The occupation forces also raided a number of houses before withdrawing to the southern entrance of the city.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank for the second time in a few hours, and raided a money exchange shop, in an operation that lasted two hours.

The road leading to the site in the center of Hebron was closed, causing traffic to be disrupted in the city center.

The occupation forces had stormed the city of Hebron earlier on Tuesday, and patrolled a number of areas of the city and set up a number of checkpoints.

It is noteworthy that in parallel with its ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has expanded its operations and the settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank since October 7, resulting in the killing of 694 Palestinians and the injury of about 5,700, according to official Palestinian institutions.
