Tel Aviv Tribune correspondents in the Gaza Strip reported that more than 40 Palestinians were martyred and dozens injured in two massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces. In Al-Shati camp (west) and Al-Tuffah neighborhood (east) of Gaza City, while famine continues to kill children in the north of the Strip.
The Civil Defense in Gaza said that at least 19 Palestinians were killed in a bombing that targeted a residential house in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and a number of others were injured. 24 Palestinians were also killed and a number of others were injured in raids on homes in the Beach Camp, west of Gaza City.
Civil defense crews in Gaza Governorate reported that most of the martyrs and wounded were children and women.
Civil Defense spokesman in Gaza, Mahmoud Basal, said that the destruction caused to the residential square that was bombed by the occupation army in the Beach Camp was very large, as the buildings turned to ashes.
He added, in an interview with Tel Aviv Tribune, that civil defense crews find it difficult to search for survivors or martyrs due to the extent of the destruction in the targeted area, which is densely populated with civilians.
On the other hand, the Israeli occupation army claimed that it bombed two military buildings belonging to the Hamas movement in Gaza.
The crime of genocide
In its first response to the massacre, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that the occupation’s targeting of defenseless civilians in the Beach Camp and the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, and its targeting of the displaced persons’ tents in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis and Rafah, is a continuation of the crime of genocide that has been ongoing for more than 8 months, and complete disregard and disdain for all laws. And laws that criminalize targeting civilians.
Hamas confirmed, in a statement, that the occupation and its Nazi leaders will pay the price for their violations against the Palestinian people.
Hamas also stressed that Zionist crimes require more effective action by the international community to force the occupation to stop its crimes and violations.
In a related context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation forces committed 3 massacres in the past 24 hours, resulting in the death of 101 and the injury of 169 others.
Thus, the death toll from the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip rose to 37,551 martyrs, in addition to 85,911 injuries since October 7.
Famine is escalating
In the northern Gaza Strip, Hossam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, announced that the number of children who died in the hospital due to malnutrition had risen to 4 within one week.
Abu Safiya said, in a press conference held in the northern Gaza Strip, “We lost a child in the nursery department during the last hours. He is the fourth child to die in the hospital during the last week due to malnutrition.”
He added that the hospital had diagnosed more than 250 children with signs of malnutrition in the last two weeks, warning that the Gaza Strip “is facing a real health catastrophe that began with children and may end with adults.”
He pointed out that the premature births that took place in the hospital recently occurred due to maternal malnutrition.
As a result of the war and Israeli restrictions that violate international laws, the Palestinians in Gaza, especially in the northern regions, suffer from a severe scarcity of food, water and medicine supplies, to the point of recording deaths from hunger.
For his part, the Director General of Health in the Gaza Governorate, Mahmoud Hammad, announced to Tel Aviv Tribune that the only oxygen station in the Gaza Governorate had stopped due to the failure to bring in fuel.
He said that the situation threatens a humanitarian catastrophe and threatens the lives of dozens of patients with inevitable death in hospitals.
Hammad warned of the cessation of functioning health facilities and the destruction of rare medicines in the refrigerators of health stores due to the lack of fuel.
Rafah battles
In the south of the Gaza Strip, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that the Israeli occupation army blew up and destroyed a number of homes in the center and west of the city of Rafah.
The reporter added that the bodies of a number of martyrs who died as a result of the Israeli raids on the city of Rafah are still lying on the ground because ambulances were unable to reach them.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces continue to besiege the Saudi neighborhood in Rafah and constantly target it through air strikes and artillery shelling.
Pictures obtained by Tel Aviv Tribune showed the extent of destruction and devastation inside the Saudi neighborhood, whose residents and ambulance crews are prevented by occupation forces from entering to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs and evacuate the injured.
The areas of the Israeli incursion into Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip and east of Gaza City, also witnessed clashes between Palestinian resistance factions and the occupation army.
The Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – said that it targeted Israeli soldiers stationed at the outer gate of the Rafah crossing and its surroundings, and caused direct hits.
In the center of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army said that its forces were continuing to fight in the center of the Gaza Strip and that they had killed a number of militants in the area, and also bombed what it described as an armed cell that fired an anti-aircraft missile at an Israeli helicopter in the airspace of the Gaza Strip.
The occupation army confirmed that it attacked with a drone a site near the Netzarim axis, from which rockets were fired towards Israeli forces yesterday, Friday.
Yesterday, Friday, the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Hamas movement – announced that it had killed two Israeli soldiers and bombed the occupation crowds south of Juhr al-Dik, east of the Central Governorate, with heavy-caliber mortar shells.
