According to him, Russian soldiers “who were helping to unload” humanitarian aid were also injured in this strike which targeted the village of Nova Mayatchka.

The Kherson region, in southern Ukraine, is partially occupied by Russia and the positions of the two camps are demarcated by the Dnieper. Russians and Ukrainians each control a bank of the river.

Russia for its part regularly bombs the city of Kherson and its surroundings, causing deaths and injuries.

The HIMARS-type rockets used by Ukraine were supplied by the United States and allow Kyiv to target Russian positions far behind the front line.

Ukraine targeted by new drone attack

The governor of the Russian region of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported 41 Ukrainian strikes in the last 24 hours on this territory bordering Ukraine, which is regularly targeted.

Friday evening, the Russian army had already indicated that it had repelled an attack by 26 Ukrainian drones in the space of two hours above Crimea, a peninsula annexed in 2014. A few hours earlier, it was the Russian region of Kursk which was targeted by six drones.
