The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), surprised an Israeli force barricaded inside a building in the Beit Lahia project in the northern Gaza Strip, and was able to stab and kill 3 Israeli soldiers, after storming it and finishing off the force members from a distance and seizing their weapons.

This operation was not like its predecessors, 445 days after the Israeli war of annihilation on Gaza. Among the details of Al-Qassam’s announcement – in its military statement – yesterday, Monday, the Phalange’s indication emerged that its fighters had removed a number of citizens who had been detained by the occupation inside the targeted house.

This news received widespread interaction on social media platforms, especially since the Al-Qassam Declaration records the first operation to liberate Palestinian prisoners by force in the history of the conflict with the occupation.

Despite the Israeli army’s claims of destroying the capabilities of the Palestinian resistance in northern Gaza, the process of stabbing and killing members of the Zionist force and liberating citizens from the building confirms that the occupation projects will not pass without the steadfastness and determination of the resistance, which marks the first operation to liberate prisoners by force in its history, as activist Ahmed Al-Mughrabi said.

In turn, activist Youssef Al-Damouki said that the resistance killed 3 soldiers in a fortified building from zero distance, with knives, then seized their weapons and finished off all members of the force, and then liberated Gazan citizens who were held captive by the enemy, adding, “This is how prisoner liberation operations are, Netanyahu.”

Activist Asid Rababa saw that despite the passage of 444 days since the war and the complete destruction of Gaza, the resistance is still steadfast and defending its land and the dignity of the nation, referring to the process of liberating the prisoners from the building in which the force was barricaded, using knives.

Meanwhile, activist Moataz Awad praised the liberation of Palestinian prisoners “with a military operation, not a deal,” adding that it was “an exceptional operation in which aircraft, machine guns, grenades, and night goggles were not used, but rather it was carried out with iron hearts and sharp knives only.”

The operation to liberate the Palestinian prisoners took place in northern Gaza, in an area besieged by the occupation army penetrating the Beit Lahia project and the southern neighborhoods of the Jabalia camp, under intense fire “similar to the horrors of a minor resurrection,” and from “a distance of sub-zero to distances below zero,” and it carried with it heroism of no small amount. Its counterpart in both worlds, as activist Hassan said.

The complex operation announced by the Al-Qassam Brigades raised the morale of Palestinians and other solidarity activists around the world, after about 15 months of genocidal war waged by Israel with all its forces and military equipment to destroy the Gaza Strip.

Since last October 6, the occupation army has launched a military operation in northern Gaza, under the pretext of “preventing the Hamas movement from regaining its power in the region.”

While the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation says that 38 soldiers were killed in the northern Gaza Strip since the beginning of the third military operation on the Jabalia camp, during this war, the Palestinian resistance confirms that the losses of the occupation forces are much greater.

The military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, confirmed that “the heroism of our mujahideen and their field performance in the northern Gaza Strip is an inspiring model for all free people in the world,” noting that “the enemy is hiding its real losses and the miserable condition of its soldiers in the northern Gaza Strip in order to preserve the image of its army.”
