The Governor of Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley, Ahmed Al-Asaad, said that what is happening in Tubas and the northern areas of the occupied West Bank is a major massacre committed by the Israeli occupation army against a defenseless people.
Al-Asaad explained to Tel Aviv Tribune that the siege on Tubas Governorate is still ongoing, confirming at the same time the presence of occupation forces and military aircraft in the airspace, in addition to the closure of military checkpoints.
He pointed out that the occupation forces isolated Al-Far’a camp from the city of Tubas after a major operation in the camp that led to the martyrdom of two Palestinians and the injury of others.
Regarding the occupation’s practices in Al-Far’a, the governor of Tubas said that the sewage networks and infrastructure in the camp were destroyed, adding that the invasion affects all aspects of life.
Al-Asaad pointed out that the occupation blocked the road to ambulances and attacked medical crews, which prompted the authorities to develop a health emergency plan after the occupation forces prevented the delivery of the martyrs’ bodies to the government hospital and their transfer to the surrounding hospitals.
The occupation army had launched a large-scale military operation in the West Bank at dawn on Wednesday under heavy air force cover, and the Israeli media described the attack as the largest of its kind since Operation Defensive Shield in 2002.
Palestinian medical sources reported that 17 people were killed and 22 others were injured since the beginning of the occupation army’s extensive military operation, which targets the areas of Jenin, Tulkarm and Tubas.
