“We are working on a solution that can be very good,” he said, describing the War during Israel against Gaza and Hamas of dozens of Israeli captives as a “problem of problem”.
“This is a problem that we want to solve for the Middle East, for Israel, for everyone. But this is a problem we are going to do,” he said.
“You will hear about it very soon. We are trying to finish it, get the hostages,,” he added.
Earlier on Sunday, Trump said he had presented a new proposal to end the war in Gaza, saying that Israel had accepted his conditions. He continued by warning Hamas to accept his conditions, saying that he had informed the group of “consequences” to refuse the offer.
Throughout the 23-month war, US officials have said on several occasions that Israel had accepted the cease-fire efforts, even if Israeli leaders have continued to publicly undertake their offensive, which the main rights defense groups and academics have described as a genocide.
“Everyone wants hostages at home. Everyone wants this war to end! ” Trump wrote on his social platform for truth.
“The Israelis have accepted my conditions. It’s time for Hamas to accept too. I warned Hamas of the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another! ”
We still don’t know what Trump’s terms involve.
Hamas confirms the reception of “ideas”
The American president previously issued verbal warnings similar to Hamas and predicted that the war would end soon. More recently, on August 25, Trump said that he thought war would come to a “conclusive end” within three weeks.
There was no immediate comment from Israel on Trump’s last offer.
But the time of Israel, citing a source close to the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the Israeli government “seriously envisaged” the proposal.
For its part, Hamas confirmed that it has received “ideas” from the United States to end the war.
“Hamas welcomes any initiative that contributes to efforts to stop the assault against our people,” said the group.
“We affirm our immediate desire to sit at the negotiating table to discuss the release of all prisoners in exchange for a clear declaration to end the war, the total withdrawal of Gaza and the formation of a committee to manage Gaza of the Palestinian self -employed, which will immediately start their work.”
It is believed that the Palestinian group holds around fifty captives, 20 of which are still alive.
Trump told journalists on Sunday that he thought that all the captives would have returned, saying: “I think we are going to get them all.”
He noted that some may have already died, but the goal would be to return their body.
Hamas previously declared that it was willing to release all the captives at one time in exchange for an end of the war and the withdrawal of the Israeli troops from Gaza.
Israel’s offensive intensifies
According to Israeli media, Trump’s last offer forces Hamas to release all the remaining captives on the first day of the truce in exchange for thousands of Palestinian prisoners imprisoned in Israel.
Israel would also cancel its large -scale offensive in Gaza City, while negotiations to end the war would begin under Trump’s personal surveillance, the Times of Israel reported.
Trump’s proposal comes as Israel intensifies his campaign to capture Gaza City against rights defense groups and Western officials.
The American president was a fervent supporter of Israel. Last week, his administration imposed sanctions on the defense groups of Palestinian rights for having cooperated with the investigation of the International Criminal Court on Israeli abuses.
Trump also called upon to withdraw all Palestinians from Gaza and transform the enclave into a “Middle East riviera” belonging to the United States-a plan that rights defenders have decided as an ethnic cleaning.
Netanyahu adopted Trump’s mass displacement proposal, presenting the thrust to clean ethnically Gaza as an effort to allow Palestinians to voluntarily leave the territory.
But legal researchers say that people have no real choice when threatened with constant Israeli bombing.
The Israeli campaign killed more than 64,000 Palestinians, sparked artificial famine and leveled most of the territory on the ground.
