US President Donald Trump ordered an investigation into the suspicion of a “cover -up” plan on the mental state of former President Joe Biden, who rejected this decision.
The White House said in a statement, on Wednesday evening, that Trump signed a presidential note to open an investigation into “who was taking over the country during the presidency of Biden.”
The statement pointed out that the White House lawyer was assigned to investigate within the limits of the law “regarding whether some individuals have conspired to lie to public opinion regarding the mental state of Biden, and to exercise the president’s powers and responsibilities, contrary to the constitution.”
The White House added that the presidential memorandum provides for an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Biden’s implementation of many executive procedures, and “examining signed documents with an automatic pen, and who authorized it to use it, and the validity of the resulting presidential decisions.”
For his part, Biden confirmed in a statement that he was making decisions during his presidency, and that “any hint that I did not do is ridiculous and false.”
The former president added that “this is nothing but a drainage of attention by Trump and the Republicans in Congress who are working to approve catastrophic legislation.”
