The “NBC” network revealed today, Friday, the details of a “stormy call” between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against the background of the starvation policy of the latter in Gaza.
The network, quoting US officials, said that Netanyahu secretly requested a phone call to Trump after the latter’s statement that there was a real famine in Gaza.
She added that Netanyahu informed Trump that there is no real famine, and that what is circulating about this starvation is the arrangement of (the Islamic Resistance Movement) Hamas.
But Trump, according to the American network, boycotted Netanyahu and shouted, saying that he did not want to hear that the famine is fake, and that his aides have informed him of the evidence that the children there are starving.
In response to this information, the NBC spokeswoman, NBC, said that she does not comment on the president’s private talks and that Trump focuses on returning all Israeli detainees in Gaza and providing food to the residents of the Strip.
Last Sunday, Trump asked Israel to “feed people in Gaza,” and said that his country does not want people to star in the Gaza Strip, and that bad things happen there.
According to the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs, 96% of families in Gaza face water insecurity, and that 90% of the population are unable to reach drinking water, as well as 3 out of 4 Gazans face difficulties in reaching toilets.
Statistics of the high number of victims of famine and malnutrition are revealed to 197 martyrs, including 96 children, and the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis (south) announced the death of two children as a result of malnutrition on Thursday.
With an American support, Israel has been committing since October 7, 2023 genocide in the Gaza Strip, more than 175,000 Palestinians left a martyr and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11 thousand missing, along with hundreds of thousands of displaced people.
