Thousands of Palestinians fled the city of the north of Gaza of Beit Hanoon after Israeli evacuation orders in the midst of the deadly air strikes on the territory torn by the war.

Civilians began to flee early Tuesday morning to the neighboring city of Jabalia in search of security, after the Israeli army has published evacuation orders for Beit Hanoon in the north of Gaza and Khuza’a and Abasan to the south to immediately leave the areas, calling them “dangerous combat zones”.

“For your own safety, you must immediately evacuate to known shelters in the west of the city of Gaza and Khan Younis,” said army spokesman Avichay Adraee on his account X.

At least 404 Palestinians were killed and 562 others injured in Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, breaking a ceasefire that lasted almost two months, the Ministry of Health said.

“Many victims are still under the rubble and efforts are underway to recover them,” the ministry added in a statement.

Air strikes were the largest Israeli attacks since the ceasefire with the Palestinian group Hamas entered into force on January 19.

The Gaza Government’s media office said entire families were among the victims, noting that ambulances and Palestinian Civil Defense teams were unable to bring all victims to hospitals.

“These brutal massacres confirm once again that the Israeli occupation army only knows the language of murder, destruction and genocide,” the statement said.

Despite the ceasefire, local authorities in Gaza had reported almost daily violations of the Israeli army.

The Ministry of Health of Gaza claims that at least 48,577 Palestinians were killed and 112,041 others wounded in the War of Israel against Gaza since October 2023. Thousands of others have been missing under the rubble and alleged deaths, according to the Gaza Government Media Bureau.
