People & Power has invested in the way Israel has been more about water in Gaza since the start of the war and why it is a war crime.

THE People and power The team traveled by Gaza a few weeks before October 7, 2023 to document water by Israel. The situation already seemed to be desperate at the time.

While a cease-fire set up in January of this year, our Gaza team went to seek the people they met 18 months earlier.

Most of the remaining water infrastructure in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed. The cutting of Israel of external water supplies and the systematic destruction of water installations have reduced the amount of water available for Palestinians to Gaza as little as 2 liters per person per day. Diseases of water origin are creeping through communities.

Thirst among the ruins tells the story of the systematic targeted obliteration of the aquatic infrastructure of Gaza by Israel and how it violates international humanitarian law.
