“They used us as human shields.” Testimonies of women in Jenin camp regarding the arrest of its men | Policy


Jenin camp- Women from Jenin camp in the northern West Bank revealed details of how the Israeli occupation forces stormed their homes in the camp, assaulted them, and arrested men from every house they entered.

Umm Ahmed Freihat said that the occupation soldiers used her as a human shield to move through the streets of the camp and left her for long hours in the rain, while a number of other soldiers searched her house and wreaked havoc on it.

Sabreen Hussein stated that the occupation soldiers arrested her sick husband and her 19-year-old son after beating him and detaining him for more than 3 hours in a separate room, then took him away blindfolded and without shoes.

Arab media published a video documenting the arrest of a number of young men from the Jenin camp blindfolded.
