The ongoing war is no longer a war on Gaza alone, but rather a comprehensive Israeli war on the entire Palestinian people, far from the illusions of demographic distinction between one region and another.
It is a war aimed at exterminating the Palestinians as human beings, as evidenced by the daily scenes of killing and massacres that have left tens of thousands dead and wounded over the course of 11 months.
This war is not limited to killing only, but also seeks to destroy the possibility of living for those who remain alive, by bombing homes, hospitals, schools and universities. It is a comprehensive war on everything that exists now and what could exist in the future.
The official Western world, with few exceptions, has conspired to coexist with this war, while the official Arabs, with limited exceptions, have become accustomed to scenes of the killing of Palestinians and the screams of the bereaved and the hungry orphans. This war has exposed the international community’s impotence and lack of desire to do anything to stop it.
