The will of the singer Ahmed Amer to delete his songs, pushing artists to erase their works upon death art

The will of the popular singer Ahmed Amer – who died at dawn on Wednesday – sparked widespread controversy on social media, after his business manager and a number of his colleagues announced his songs from their channels on the YouTube platform, in response to his will. A number of artists also announced their intention to take similar steps, whether by deleting their artworks or retiring from singing permanently during the coming period.

Ibrahim Al -Prince – the director of the work of the popular singer who suddenly left at the age of 42 – stated that Amer was constantly recommending that his songs not be exposed after his death, and that they were deleted from all platforms. He explained that the songs he recorded before his departure will not be broadcast as well, in compliance with his will, which he was keen to implement before the burial ceremony.

“Festival singer” Hamo Becca – in a post on Facebook – wrote that he deleted all the songs of Ahmed Amer from his YouTube channel, calling on production companies and every artist who participated in “duets” former to delete the songs that bring them together.

In response to one of the followers who asked him to retire and delete his songs as well, Becca said: “At the earliest opportunity, God willing.”

Becca was not the only festival singer who stated his desire to retire. He considered that what happened represents an alarm bell that reflects the fragility of the line between right and wrong in the technical field.

He pointed out that working in nightclubs, despite being an ideal option, represents a major source of income for many artists, which raises complicated questions about the balance between the need for livelihood and moral considerations.

Kamel added that the last experience that he went through was a reflection and reconsideration station in many of the situations he lived, confirming his adherence to his principles and his lack of endeavor just to keep up at the expense of his personal convictions. He explained that what happened was a real motivation to reassess his professional and technical options in a more honest and transparent spirit. He added that he is not against work, but rather with respect for moral values ​​and behaviors, and the need not to infringe them in any way.

In a telephone interview with the “Details” program, the popular singer Tariq Al -Sheikh announced his intention to delete all his songs, indicating that he will recommend his children to this after his death.

Commenting on the will of the late artist Ahmed Amer, Tariq Al -Sheikh said that what he did is calculated for him, because he wanted to leave a good biography, not only related to singing, adding: “I will also recommend my children to delete my songs, there are those who memorize my words by heart, but the truth is that the good biography is what remains, and not the songs, how many artist presented work inappropriate, while Ahmed Amer did not do so.”

Producer Bilal Sabry, who produced a number of songs of Ahmed Amer – in a Facebook post – said that he succeeded in deleting the works that possess their rights, but he made it clear that some songs were sold to other production companies, and therefore the matter is no longer in the scope of his control.

Sabri Al -Azhar and the Syndicate of Musical Professions appealed, with the aim of resolving the controversy on the religious position on songs.

He said through his post: “I appeal to Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, the captain of musical professions, and everyone who has to do with the field of art and music, to explain categorically: Are the songs permissible or forbidden?

For his part, critic Tariq Al -Shennawi commented on the matter, and pointed to what happened in the aftermath of Ahmed Amer’s departure, and the commandment of a number of artists not to circulate their lyrical works after the death on the grounds that singing is forbidden, and that refraining from it is the way to meet God without sins, adding that the captain of the musical professions himself entered the crisis line, and instead of addressing the defense of art, he announced that he had begun to review himself and his career.

And he considered that the tragedy is that they are singing to win the food of their day, while they believe that it is forbidden by Sharia, so there is a contradiction between their reality and their convictions, and what they love in the world and what they fear in the hereafter.

The popular artist Ahmed Amer felt a severe health problem after he finished reviving one of the concerts in Mansoura, and he was transferred to the hospital before he breathed his last there, and after his death he shed grief over a number of workers in the artistic community.
