The White House condemned a video clip containing racist abuse against a black female demonstrator who participated in a demonstration in solidarity with the Gaza Strip at a university in Mississippi.

The White House considered the behavior that appeared in a video clip at a university in the state “shameful and racist,” after a student was accused of mocking a black female demonstrator by imitating the sounds of monkeys during a demonstration against the Gaza war.

The events that took place at Ole Miss, the state’s most prominent university, sparked widespread anger and condemnation, and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “The actions shown in the video are below the level of any American.”

It is noteworthy that the student protests against the Israeli aggression on Gaza started from American universities and later spread to various Western countries.
