The United States defends the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory at the ICJ | Israel’s war against Gaza

In its argument before the ICJ, the United States said the UN’s highest court should not ask Israel to “immediately and unconditionally withdraw” from the Palestinian territories. The United States opposes the idea that the Court should declare the Israeli occupation illegal.
