The United Nations: People are starving in Gaza and all crossings must be opened news

Farhan Haq, a deputy spokesman for the Secretary -General of the United Nations, said that all the food and fuel inserted does not fulfill the needs of the Gaza Strip, stressing that the rescue of two million people is starving in full opening of the crossings.

In an interview with Al -Jazeera, Haqq confirmed that the sector needs to enter at least 500 aid trucks per day, because people get two foods every 3 days.

He added that everything that is introduced to the sector is not enough for the population, because there is a great hunger, and the children need food and nutritional supplements, stressing that what is currently required is to enter aid by land, and to re -make the distribution network of the United Nations.

The problem lies – according to the UN official – in Israel’s control of all crossings, and its complex and long searches in the two crossings that allowed the United Nations to introduce aid from them.

Earlier today, the United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights, Volcker Turk, said that the coming photos from Gaza for people are starving “tragic and unbearable.”

Turk stressed that the arrival of Gaza to this stage “is an insult to our humanity”, and that Israel “continues to impose strict restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid to the sector.”
