US Ambassador to the UN Security Council Linda Thomas-Greenfield said the United States continues to work with Egypt and Qatar to find a way forward in negotiations that is acceptable to both parties.
For her part, the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Reconstruction in Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, said that the continued lack of effective protection for civilians in Gaza is unacceptable.
