The UAE denounced statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday, in which he said that it was possible for the UAE to participate in helping a future government in the Gaza Strip after the war.
In a post this morning on the “X” platform, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan strongly criticized Netanyahu, and said, “Abu Dhabi denounces the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister.”
The publication stated, “The UAE stresses that the Israeli Prime Minister does not have any legal capacity to take this step. The country also refuses to be drawn into any plan aimed at providing cover for the Israeli presence in the Gaza Strip.”
He added, “When a Palestinian government is formed that meets the hopes and aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people and enjoys integrity, competence, and independence, the state will be fully prepared to provide all forms of support to that government.”
The United Arab Emirates denounces the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, about calling on the state to participate in civil administration of the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli occupation.

It is noteworthy that the UAE is one of the few Arab countries that has official diplomatic relations with Israel, and has maintained them during the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7.
Netanyahu said in an interview, “The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other countries could help a civilian government with the residents of the Gaza Strip after the war.”
Prominent members of Netanyahu’s government reject the idea of an independent Palestinian state, and Netanyahu says that Israel needs to maintain security control over Gaza after the war.
