The Syrian Ministry of the Interior said that the clashes between armed and Bedouin armed groups in the province of As -Suwayda, in southern Syria, killed more than 30 people and wounded about 100.
The ministry added that the Ministry of Interior forces will begin intervention directly in As -Suwayda to resolve the conflict and stop the clashes, and stressed the importance of expediting the deployment of security forces in the region and starting a comprehensive dialogue that addresses the causes of tension.
The French Press Agency quoted the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying that 37 people were killed in armed clashes and mutual shelling in the Maqusah neighborhood, east of the city of As -Suwayda and areas in the governorate, who are 27 Druze, including two children and 10 Bedouins.
And the Syrian news agency “SANA” reported that the Internal Security Forces deployed on the administrative borders between the governorates of Daraa and As -Suwayda, in response to recent security developments.

The assistant commander of the Internal Security, Nizar Hariri, had said that the tension in the governorate began following a recent robbery on the Damascus-As-Suwayda road, followed by mutual kidnappings.
For his part, the Governor of As -Suwayda, Mustafa Al -Bakour, called for “the necessity of self -control and response to the arbitration of reason and dialogue,” and stressed that the state will not tolerate the protection of citizens and the restoration of rights, warning of attempts to inflict sedition.
As for the spiritual presidency of the Druze Almohad community, it denounced what happened and warned against drawing into sedition, calling on the Syrian government to control security on the Damascus-As-Suwayda road.
The As -Suwayda Governorate is the largest group of Druze in Syria, whose number is estimated at 700 thousand people.

And bloody clashes that broke out in two areas near Damascus last April, and their repercussions extended to the endosperm, killing at least 119 people, including Druze gunmen and security forces, in a bloody confrontation during which Israel intervened by launching air strikes and warned Damascus against prejudice to the people of the Druze community.
Following these clashes, representatives of the Syrian government and notables of Druze concluded conversion agreements to contain the escalation, which again highlighted the challenges facing the new authority led by President Ahmed Al -Shara, in its endeavor to stabilize its rule and draw the frameworks of the relationship with various components after the overthrow of the previous regime last December.
