The Syrian Minister of Information, Hamza Al -Mustafa, accused 4 countries of publishing a sectarian speech and fueling the situation in his country, noting that the opponents of the new Syrian state are publishing false news and carrying out campaigns at an unprecedented pace.

Al -Mustafa’s speech to Al -Jazeera came as part of his comment on the events of the endosperm governorate in southern Syria and the Israeli intervention under the pretext of “protecting the Druze” and making the southern region “demilitarized”

According to Al -Mustafa, the new Syrian state has opponents in 4 countries – who did not name it – spread a false sectarian discourse to fuel the situation, indicating that some are trying to invest in the hate speech adopted by the previous regime.

The Syrian minister said that “the Israeli intervention to try to overturn the facts in the endosperm prevented the intervention of the Syrian state.”

And bloody clashes have taken place since last Sunday between Bedouin clans and Druze groups in As -Suwayda that developed into retaliatory operations, while air strikes – Israel launched on Syrian governorates with the claim of “protection of the Druze” – imitated the efforts of government forces to contain the crisis.

Al -Mustafa revealed that Damascus agreed to the demands of the spiritual president of the Almohads community, Druze Hikmat Al -Hijri, but he disavowed the agreement later in streak abroad.

Al -Hijri launched appeals to US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to intervene for what he called “saving the endosperm.”

The spiritual presidency of the Almohads community also demanded – in a statement – with what it described as international protection against the background of the seriousness of the situation in the province.

The Syrian Minister accused the Hijri groups of crimes in As -Suwayda with the aim of bringing about demographic changes, noting that the “isolationist discourse” of some groups in As -Suwayda undermined political efforts.

He expressed his confidence that the endosperm “will not change its national affiliation,” as the state welcomes its participation in the political process, stressing that throughout its history the Syrian people managed to overcome isolationist policies.

He stressed that the new state has pledged that the garrison would be for its citizens, as the new state is based on one people, one army and one government.

According to Al -Mustafa, the clashes stopped in the central areas of the As -Suwayda Governorate, at a time when the state is working to restore stability to the governorate and install it to make political solutions a success.

The clashes had escalated after the withdrawal of government forces last Wednesday evening according to an agreement with local groups in the province.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced later the clashes in the city of As -Suwayda and the evacuation of the region from the tribal fighters after the deployment of the Syrian security forces to implement the ceasefire, while the tribal and clans council vowed to respond to any violation of the agreement.

The Syrian Ministry of Health reported that 260 people were killed and 1698 others were injured in the clashes of As -Suwayda, while the Syrian Network for Human Rights documented the killing of 321 people during the fighting since last Sunday, including workers in medical services, women and children.

Since last May, the security department in the Suwayda has been in charge of Druze armed men according to the agreement between the local factions and the authorities, but it is also spread in the governorate’s countryside.
