With his usual smile and cheerful welcome, Jerusalemite falafel seller Amin Al-Nabulsi welcomes visitors to the city of Jerusalem and worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sheikh Amin, owner of the “Falafel Ami Sheikh Amin” restaurant, repeatedly invites passers-by in the neighborhood closest to Al-Aqsa Mosque, between Bab Al-Qattanin and the iron gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, to taste falafel for free.

Sheikh Amin said in his interview with Tel Aviv Tribune Net that he has been preparing falafel for years and makes some of it “for God,” in reference to the free distributions.

Like other Jerusalemite merchants, Sheikh Amin complains of the difficult economic situation, yet he maintains the opening of his restaurant.
