The European policeman is investigating alleged failings concerning the protection of minors.

The European Commission said measures including age verification tools to prevent minors from finding “inappropriate content“might not be”reasonable, proportionate and effective“.

The Commission is also investigating measures to protect the privacy of minors, the transparency of advertisements and researchers’ access to data.

Every month in Europe, some 134 million people use the social network Tik Tok.
