The Pro-Palestinian group requests a complete legal challenge to its ban before the High Court of London.

The co-founder of a pro-Palestinian campaign group won her attempt to present a legal challenge against the British government’s decision to ban the group under the laws on “anti-terrorists”.

The High Court of London ruled on Wednesday that the prohibition could be considered as an impact of freedom of expression and that the group should have been consulted before entering into force.

The action in Palestine has increasingly targeted Israeli companies in the United Kingdom, often spraying red paint, blocking entries or harmful equipment. He accuses the government of complicity of the United Kingdom in what he says to be Israeli war crimes in Gaza.

After the group broke into a military air base in June and damaged two planes, the British government prohibited action in Palestine under the 2,000 -terrorism law. The proscription makes it a crime to be a member of the group, an offense which brings a maximum sentence of 14 years in prison.

Judge Martin Chamberlain granted authorization to Huda Ammori, who helped to find an action in Palestine in 2020, to provide judicial control, claiming that the proscription was equivalent to disproportionate interference with her and the right of others to freedom of expression was “reasonably concerned”.

Dozens of people have been arrested for holding signs supported the group since the ban, and AMMORI lawyers said that people expressing their support for the Palestinian cause were also subject to increased police exam.

Following the decision, Ammori declared that the decision “demonstrates the importance of this case for the freedoms of speech, expression and assembly and the rights to natural justice in our country and to the rule of law itself.

“Our fundamental freedoms as citizens of this country are at stake – not only for those of us who have been directly affected and gagged by the ban, but by making people who are afraid of denouncing Israel because he commits genocide and hugs the Palestinian people to death.”

Laura O’Brien, head of the Hodge Jones and Allen Solicitors demonstration team, told Tel Aviv Tribune that the prohibition had led to the arrest of people “arousing reasonable suspicion of being a member or supporter” of the group, which means that people “without any intention, without any involvement in damage or violence” were arrested.

“The simple fact of holding a sign led people to arrest, that’s what is talking about.”

Recently, the head of the United Nations Human Rights, Volker Turk, has raised concerns concerning the prohibition, calling it “abusive improper” of “counter-terrorism” laws which risks undermining fundamental freedoms.

Israel has repeatedly denied having committed abuse in his war in Gaza, who has so far killed more than 60,000 people. In addition to the bombing and mass trips, the Palestinians of Gaza are faced with extreme hunger and malnutrition while they endure a blockade of aid paralyzing despite the calls generalized by the international community and the rights defense groups to open passages in the enclave.
