The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, and the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced that they carried out new operations today, Monday, against the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, at a time when the occupation army admitted to incurring additional losses in the ongoing battles in several areas in the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said today – via the Telegram application – that they detonated an anti-personnel thunderbolt with special Israeli force after it entered the basement of a building in the Khuza’a area, east of Khan Yunis, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

It also said that it targeted two gatherings of occupation soldiers north and east of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, with mortar shells.

In the northern Khan Yunis axis, the Al-Qassam Brigades targeted an Israeli troop carrier with an “Al-Yassin 105” missile and a military bulldozer with a “Tandum” missile.

In conjunction with publishing data on the new attacks, the military wing of the Hamas movement broadcast scenes of targeting an Israeli special force consisting of 10 soldiers holed up, the day before Saturday, in a house in the Juhr al-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip, with an anti-fortified shell.

Earlier today, the Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast images of rocket salvoes being launched towards Israeli towns and settlements, and Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that sirens sounded in the Ra’im and Netiv Haasara settlements inside the Gaza envelope.

Abu Ubaida, the military spokesman for Al-Qassam, said yesterday that Phalange fighters killed 48 soldiers and wounded dozens of others during the previous four days.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades reported that today they bombed crowds of Israeli forces in the Abu Oreiban land, east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, with 107 missiles and mortar shells.

The Al-Quds Brigades said that they targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a “Tandum” shell on Baghdad Street in the Shuja’iya neighborhood, east of Gaza, and destroyed crowds of the occupation in the vicinity of the Al-Zalal Mosque in the Taqadum axes, east of Khan Yunis, with mortar shells.

It added that it also bombed crowds of occupation soldiers and vehicles in the vicinity of the Erez site in the northern Gaza Strip with a barrage of mortar shells. The Al-Quds Brigades had broadcast images of their targeting of Israeli occupation army vehicles in the eastern Gaza Strip.

Israeli losses

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced that two soldiers were killed and 27 others were wounded in battles in the Gaza Strip within one day.

This brings the number of Israeli army deaths since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip late last October to 162.

Tel Aviv announced the killing of an armored officer and a soldier from the engineering unit yesterday, Sunday, bringing the number of those killed to 17 soldiers and officers within two days.

Yesterday, Sunday, Israeli Channel 12 quoted the occupation army as describing the end of the last week as the toughest since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, after dozens of soldiers were killed and injured in ambushes set up by the resistance in the Strip.

The Israeli army and Benjamin Netanyahu’s government acknowledged that their forces are fighting difficult battles in the Gaza Strip and facing fierce resistance from Palestinian fighters.
