The resistance bombs Ashkelon from Jabalia and broadcasts scenes of a qualitative operation News

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that it bombed the city of Ashkelon with a batch of missiles from the area of the occupation army’s incursion, east of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, where fierce battles were taking place coinciding with the fighting in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City and in Rafah in the south.

Palestinians in Jabalia monitored the advance of occupation forces in the camp, while heavy gunfire was heard, and intense air strikes continued in the northern Gaza Strip.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades said – via Telegram – that it bombed the city of Ashkelon with a missile barrage in response to the massacres against civilians.

At the same time, Israeli Army Radio said that two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Sderot, one of which was intercepted while the other fell in an open area.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that 3 Israelis were injured at dawn on Sunday as a result of a missile fired from Gaza, in Ashkelon, which is approximately 13 kilometers from the northern border of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army had announced that it had decided to return to work in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip, and to deport the residents, in light of what it said were Hamas’ attempts to restore its capabilities in the region.

For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced – since this morning – targeting a number of Israeli tanks with Al-Yassin 105 shells east of the Jabalia camp, and bombing the occupation forces in the same axis with mortar shells.

A march targeting the Merkava

Al-Qassam broadcast a video recording of the targeting of an Israeli Merkava tank, where an anti-armor shell was dropped by a drone on the tank east of the Jabalia camp.

Earlier, Al-Qassam broadcast scenes of the battles in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, where the occupation forces were targeted with mortar shells, and Israeli helicopters appeared evacuating the dead and wounded, according to what the resistance reported.

The occupation army has admitted – since yesterday evening – that one of its soldiers was killed during the battles in the Zaytoun neighborhood, and the Israeli media also reported that Major General Yogav Bar Sheshet, deputy superintendent of the security system, was injured during clashes with the resistance, and he is the highest-ranking officer to be injured since the beginning of the war, according to Israeli reports.

The newspaper “Israel Today” quoted sources in the Israeli army as saying that the Hamas movement had reorganized its forces in the Zaytoun neighborhood, in the center of the Gaza Strip.

The sources indicated that this exposes the Israeli forces in the Netzarim axis to danger, and added that, given the lack of an alternative force, Hamas will return to Rafah, Jabalia, and Al-Zaytoun.

The Israeli sources confirmed that “it is difficult to translate the army’s operational achievements without strategic action.”

“Hamas maintains its capabilities”

Israeli Channel 13 also quoted Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy as saying that the absence of a political plan in Gaza will push the army to repeat its operations in different areas.

In the same context, the Wall Street Journal quoted analysts as saying that Israel’s control of Rafah is unlikely to lead to a strong tactical blow to Hamas.

Analysts also believed that the return of fighting in Gaza City and the northern areas of the Gaza Strip shows that Hamas maintains its fighting capabilities.

On the other hand, ABC quoted former US State Department officials as saying that the war in Gaza led to the death of 34,000 Palestinians, including 14,000 children, most of whom were killed by American munitions.

For more than 7 months, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza, which UN and human rights experts describe as a war of extermination and starvation, in which tens of thousands were martyred and wounded, most of them children and women, and nearly 70% of the civilian infrastructure, including homes, schools, and hospitals, was destroyed.

In the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in Gaza this afternoon, the number of martyrs since the beginning of the war rose to 35,034 martyrs, and the number of wounded reached 78,755.

The Ministry said that the occupation forces committed 8 massacres against families during the past 24 hours, and 114 injured people and the bodies of 63 martyrs arrived at hospitals, while many of the wounded and the bodies of martyrs are still under the rubble and in the roads, as the ambulance and civil defense teams were unable to reach them due to the intensification of the attack.
