Tehran- Amid escalating speculation that Washington’s participation in the Israeli war against Iran threatened, US President Donald Trump threatened to assassinate Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and demanded Tehran to surrender unconditional, which raised questions about the repercussions of the potential American movement on the course of the crisis and decision maker in Tehran.
In contrast to the reports that had already spoken of his rejection of a previous Israeli plan to assassinate Khamenei for fear of involvement in a regional war, Trump described the Iranian guide as a “easy goal”, noting – in a post on his platform Truth Social on Tuesday – that Washington “knows his place of hiding carefully, but she does not intend to target him at the present time.”
And on the impact of the US military, an additional strategic watches to the Middle East, Trump warns – in his post – that “the patience of America began to run”, before calling on Iran to “unconditionally surrender”, in a second publication published after only 3 minutes of his threat to “liquidating” Khamenei, which reflects an escalation in the American discourse.
Battle of Khyber
This implicit threat comes after a series of assassinations carried out by Israel since the dawn of last Friday against many higher military leaders and nuclear scientists in Iran, similar to its usual strategy that it had previously applied against military and political leaders of both the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Lebanese Hezbollah.
As Trump chooses the guide between “unconditional surrender” or slipping into the battle in support of Israel, the response comes directly from Khamenei, who stressed: “We will never compromise the Zionists, and it must be dealt with strongly in the face of the terrorist Zionist entity.”
In another publication, Khamenei asserts that what is going on is only “the beginning of the battle”, as he wrote at dawn today, Wednesday, on the X platform: “Ali returns to Khaybar Shahra, his spine’s sword”, referring to the Battle of Khaybar in the seventh year after the migration in which the Muslims won and highlighted Ali bin Abi Talib – may God be pleased with him – his heroism by opening one of the forts.
For his part, the head of the Iranian Chiefs of Staff, General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, said that his country “has never and will never give up, and that the previous operations against the enemy were deterrent,” and added that Tehran will carry out its punitive operations against him soon, calling on residents of the occupied territories -especially in Tel Aviv and Haifa -to leave to preserve their lives.
The American threat against the head of power pyramid led to the gathering of hundreds of Iranians – the past night – in Palestine Square in the center of the capital to condemn it, and Majeed Sajjadi considered the former assistant to the Iranian Minister of Justice that Trump’s threats represent an unprecedented act in violating the basic principles of international law, especially the United Nations Charter, because the second article of it prohibits any threat to assassination or a use of force against political independence of any country.
And the analytical news website “Bolton News” quoted a carpet as saying that it also constitutes a flagrant violation of the principle of international immunity of senior officials of independent countries, adding that this threat issued by the highest US government official makes him a work attributed to the state, which entails its international responsibility.
Precautionary procedures
Accordingly, the Islamic Republic must conduct the legal and diplomatic paths necessary to follow up on this act, including submitting an official complaint to the International Court of Justice, and requesting an emergency session of the Security Council to discuss the repercussions of the threat and hold its perpetrators accountable within the framework of international law, according to Sajjadi.
He warned that silence about this threat would not only be a green sign of “internationally” supported terrorism, but will be a death alarm for the global legal system.
To prevent the creation of potential voids as a result of Israeli or American assassinations in Iran, Tehran announced the “ten bench” plan to ensure the continuity of the leadership in the event of the assassination of any of the senior officials or military leaders, in reference to the presence of ready alternatives to deal with any emergency.
In the context, Iran prevented its officials from using mobile phones and telecommunications, after Israel launched a “large -scale electronic war” on its digital infrastructure, while the Persian media launched a wide awareness campaign against what it considers a psychological warfare led by the “American axis” against the Islamic Republic.
Tehran also transformed the threats issued by the American and Israeli leaders into a tool to fill the street, where Iranian politicians describe “national unity is an existential necessity.” These calls were listened to even with political opposition at home and part of them abroad, according to political researcher Ali Rida strengthens Nia.
Lift
Speaking to Al -Jazeera Net, Nia strengthens that his country – after its surprise at the Israeli assassinations, at dawn last Friday – will not be surprised by any development, as all scenarios took into account, and put in advance solutions to any emergency, stressing that the threat to the assassination of Iranian officials aims to pressure them to make concessions and undermine their morale.
The political researcher considered that Trump’s threats and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – the International Criminal Court wanted for war crimes in Gaza – to assassinate the Iranian guide will bring repercussions of what they wanted.
“Why do some think that Tehran does not take these threats into consideration?” He asked.
He continued that Tehran has developed actual plans to target American bases in the region and in the highest seas, and that it recently launched strategic missiles on the occupied lands to send a deterrent message to the American side, stressing that the threat to the assassination of Khamenei will increase the Iranian resolve to confront and that what has hidden from Iranian weapons is much greater than what the world has witnessed so far.
