The orders issued after Israel is launching deadly attacks on Gaza, breaking its ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
The Israeli army threatened residents of several regions of Gaza to “evacuate immediately” after launching a wave of fatal attacks against the enclave which killed at least 404 Palestinians and wounded 562 others.
The army published the forced evacuation orders on Tuesday, targeting the districts of Beit Hanoon, Khirbet Khuza’a, Abasan al-Kabira and Abasan al-Jadida.
“The FDI (Israeli army) has launched a massive offensive against terrorist organizations. said the army spokesman in Arabic Arabichay Adraee on X.
Adraee said civilians in targeted areas should go to shelters west of Gaza City or Khan Younis.
The orders were made the day after the Israeli attacks against the enclave on Tuesday.
Following the attack, Hamas said that the Netanyahu government had chosen to “overthrow” a two-month fragile ceasefire agreed between the two parties, which entered into force on January 19.
The attacks and evacuation orders ended a period of relative calm during the Ramadan sacred Muslim month, only a few weeks after the Palestinians were authorized to return home under the cease-fire agreement.
Reporting Gaza City, Hani Mahmoud, Tel Aviv Tribune, noted that Israel’s attacks had targeted residential buildings, schools and public facilities have been transformed into evacuation centers, which had been effectively transformed into “death traps”.
“Let us not forget that many Palestinians still stay in evacuation centers because their houses are either destroyed or located in an area that the Israeli army still occupies,” he said.
The United Nations humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory asked the reintegration of the ceasefire in Gaza.
“Waves of air strikes have occurred through the Gaza Strip since the early hours of the morning … It is unacceptable.
