Today, Sunday, Youssef Salama, the former Palestinian Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, was martyred in an Israeli occupation raid on his home in Al-Maghazi camp, in the central Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” reported that the occupation warplanes bombed Sheikh Salama’s house, leading to his death and wounding a number of his family members.
She pointed out that a number of citizens were martyred and injured in a bombing that targeted two houses in the Maghazi camp in the center of the Gaza Strip, and the bombing operations affected 3 mosques.
The occupation warplanes also fired machine guns east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, while artillery shelling was renewed east of Bureij and Al-Nuseirat (centre).
A drone targeted a house west of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip, while a raid targeted the east of the city of Deir al-Balah (central), resulting in the death and injury of a number of citizens.
The occupation artillery also fired shells towards the Bureij, Nuseirat and Al-Maghazi camps in the central Gaza Strip.
Today, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 150 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids on the Strip during the past 24 hours.
Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said – in a statement – that the Israeli army “committed 12 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, claiming 150 martyrs and 286 injuries during the past 24 hours.”
The toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza by land, sea and air since October 7 has risen to more than 21,672 martyrs and more than 56,000 injured, in addition to thousands of missing persons, 70% of whom are children and women.
