Hundreds of Palestinians released by the Israelis show signs of emaciation and abuse suffered in detention.

Hundreds of Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons released in Gaza as part of the ceasefire agreement have once again shown signs of emaciation and abuse.

More than 600 Palestinians were released on Thursday, shortly after Israel said that Hamas had given coffins containing the bodies of four captives. Israel has delayed the release of two Palestinian women and 44 children.

It was the final planned exchange within the framework of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.

Several Palestinians were transported to ambulances at the European hospital in Khan Younis in southern Gaza due to the severity of their injuries. Many Palestinians were also sent to Egypt and occupied West Bank.

Alaa al-Bayari, a Palestinian released in Gaza City, told Tel Aviv Tribune that he had witnessed “torture, beat, humiliation and all that you can imagine” in Israeli prison. He met his one -year -old daughter for the first time.

“We were kept naked, water was thrown on us, then they used electricity,” he said.

Yahya Shrida, a Palestinian prisoner who was released in Ramallah, described Israeli prisons as cemeteries.

“We were withdrawn from suffering. It was as if we had been dug in our own tombs. No prisoner had the experience of having delayed their own release twice, “he told the news agency in Reuters.

“What we have experienced is a situation that the mountains cannot transport. It is very difficult to explain; It is very difficult to talk about what we have experienced. »»

Tareq Abu Azzoum of Tel Aviv Tribune, reporting from Gaza, said that some Palestinians had returned if the members were cut and that others suffered from serious injuries due to Israeli torture in detention.

“Many family members founded tears after seeing their loved ones,” said Abu Azzoum, adding that liberated people confirmed that they have witnessed some of the worst torture methods in the hands of Israeli occupation forces. “

Images shared online by QUDS News Network have shown that family members and released the Palestinians crying after their arrival in Gaza.

A clip shows a family member crying for the emaciated state of his liberated parent, saying: “Look at the difference, oh my God!”

During a meeting of the city of Jenin of the West West Bank, images showed that the liberated prisoner Louay Saabneh meets his son Jabal for the first time after several years of incarceration.

Earlier, Hamas handed over the bodies of four captives to Israel via the Red Cross.

The president of Israel, Isaac Herzog, said that the bodies were identified as Ohad Yahalomi, Tsachi Idan, Itzik Elgarat and Shlom Mantzur.

In a press release, the Palestinian group has renewed its “full commitment” to the cease-fire agreement and its desire to establish negotiations on the second phase.

He also said that attempts by the Israeli authorities to hinder the liberation of prisoners “failed”, adding that it means that they have “no other choice” than to start negotiations for the second phase of the cease-fire agreement.

The group also called on other countries to “stop their double standard” in their speech concerning Israeli captives without mentioning the abuses of which Palestinian prisoners are submitted.
