The occupation’s theft of the bodies of martyrs in Gaza sparks anger on social media News

Tweeters on social media widely circulated a video clip obtained by Tel Aviv Tribune showing soldiers from the Israeli occupation army transporting the bodies of Palestinian martyrs from the morgue tent during the siege of the Shifa Complex Hospital last November.

More than 100 bodies were loaded onto a truck and transported to Israel, according to health officials in the Strip.

The video sparked anger and dissatisfaction among social media users at the Arab and international levels, with most of them wondering about the fate of the bodies.

While others demanded that the videos and photos be delivered to official human rights bodies, as well as to the International Criminal Court, in order to hold the Israeli occupation army accountable.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported at the beginning of this year that the bodies of about 100 martyrs were buried in a mass grave in Rafah, which the occupation had stolen from various areas of the Gaza Strip and delivered through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

She explained that the bodies were stolen by the occupation soldiers from hospitals and cemeteries during their raids into various areas of the Gaza Strip during their ground operations, and after examining the bodies, it was revealed that the occupation had stolen organs from some of them.

For his part, the government media office in Gaza previously called for the necessity of “forming a completely independent international investigation committee into the occupation army’s kidnapping of the bodies of the martyrs and stealing their vital organs.”

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza with American support, leaving more than 115,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
