The Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip continues for the 89th day in a row, with intensifying aerial bombardment on the Nuseirat camp in the center of the Strip and Khan Yunis in the south, with the Israeli army dropping leaflets calling on residents of 7 neighborhoods in the Nuseirat camp to evacuate their homes, while the occupation announced the killing of an officer in the Gaza battles.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that occupation fighters destroyed a number of “Ain Goliath” towers and bombed the vicinity of Al-Twenty Street in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The Tel Aviv Tribune correspondent also said that the Israeli artillery bombardment targeted the northern and eastern outskirts of Gaza City, without knowing yet the number of martyrs and injuries resulting from the bombing.

The reporter reported that a child was martyred as a result of the occupation aircraft bombing the entrance to a school housing displaced people in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, and that 3 Palestinians were martyred as a result of targeting a house for the Al-Nahhal family in the Khirbet Al-Adas area, east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

He confirmed that the occupation forces carried out heavy bombardment on the town of Khuza’a, east of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, while explosions were heard in the southern parts of central Khan Yunis.

The continued bombing comes in parallel with violent battles between the resistance and the Israeli occupation forces in various axes of the Gaza Strip, and Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported violent explosions and sounds of clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation army in the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Municipalities appeal

For their part, the municipalities of the northern Gaza Strip appealed to United Nations organizations and international community organizations to bring in fuel and spare parts to resume the minimum necessary requirements of life.

The mayors said – in a press conference – that the occupation destroyed most of the main water wells, water tanks, water network pipes and sewage pumps.

They added that the occupation bombing targeted hygiene mechanisms, which led to the accumulation of thousands of tons of waste in the streets, causing water pollution and the spread of diseases.

An officer was killed

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced at dawn today the killing of an officer with the rank of major from the elite forces in the Engineering Corps, during the battles in the northern Gaza Strip, without adding any further details about his death.

With the killing of the officer, the total number of Israeli army deaths since the beginning of the war on the 7th of last October rose to 509, including 175 killed since the beginning of the ground operation on the 27th of the same month.

Yesterday evening, Tuesday, the Israeli army announced that a soldier was killed and five others were seriously injured in battles in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 22,313 martyrs and the injury of 57,296 others, most of them women and children.
