On Sunday evening, the Israeli army stormed the city of Tulkarm and several Palestinian villages and towns in the West Bank, while the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the suspension of classes in several schools for fear of settler attacks.

Media reports said that the occupation forces stormed Tulkarm from its western axis, while activists posted on social media platforms video clips of the occupation forces near Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarm, and the movement of military vehicles that they said were heading with bulldozers to the Nour Shams camp in the city.

For its part, the official Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) said that the Israeli army stormed the villages of Madama and Beit Furik, south and east of the city of Nablus, and indicated the outbreak of confrontations between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation soldiers.

The occupation army also stormed the villages of Farata and Imatin, east of the city of Qalqilya, and confrontations broke out in the center of the West Bank, near the Jalazoun camp, north of the city of Al-Bireh, where an army force stormed the Al-Balou’ neighborhood in the city.

As for the south of the West Bank, the occupation forces stormed the village of Al-Khader, west of Bethlehem, amidst the firing of stun grenades and poisonous gas. East of the city, the agency reported that settlers gathered near the village of Dar Salah and raised the flags of the occupying state.

On Sunday evening, Israel decided to impose a comprehensive closure on the occupied West Bank on Monday, the first anniversary of the Al-Aqsa flood attack on October 7, 2023.

The official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that the Israeli authorities decided to impose a complete security cordon on the West Bank, closing the crossings linking it to Israel, and preventing the entry of Palestinian workers.

The army also decided to intensify its forces throughout the West Bank and on all fronts, in anticipation of any events coinciding with the anniversary of October 7, according to the commission.

Today, Monday, marks the first anniversary of the start of Israel, with American support, a genocidal war in Gaza, which has, to date, resulted in more than 139,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
