Today, Thursday, the occupation forces continued to storm towns in the West Bank, raiding citizens’ homes and arresting young men. The Israeli army stormed “Taqu’” east of the city of Bethlehem and “Nahhalin” north of it, and raided homes in the two towns and arrested a number of young men, and clashed with resistance fighters in Jericho and west of it. The Israeli army stormed Hebron and the towns of Al-Dhahiriya, Bani Naim and Beit Ummar in the governorate, raided homes there, searched them and tampered with their contents before arresting a number of young men and confiscating vehicles.

The occupation forces also stormed the city of Jericho and the Sultan Camp in the eastern West Bank, where confrontations took place between young men and the invading forces.

In addition to storming the town of Beit Laqya, west of Ramallah, the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, the town of Beit Wazan, west of Nablus, and the town of Sidon, north of Tulkarm, Israeli forces arrested a number of young men and confiscated a number of vehicles.

The Israeli army combed the area around Yaabad, southwest of Jenin, during its withdrawal. Residents documented the movements of groups of pedestrians as they headed towards the center of the town, while confrontations broke out between Palestinian resistance fighters and the invading force, during which the Palestinians used homemade bombs.

It is noteworthy that the number of martyrs in the occupied West Bank – since last October 7 – rose to 303 martyrs yesterday, with the martyrdom of two young men in Hebron and Bethlehem.

Storming Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, carried out provocative tours of its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals.

Wafa added that the occupation forces arrested two Jerusalemites and summoned a freed prisoner for investigation.

Arrests

Wafa confirmed that the occupation forces arrested about 18 Palestinians, including a child, from various towns in the West Bank, east of Bethlehem, south of Nablus, and southwest of Ramallah.

For its part, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club reported yesterday that the number of arrests in the West Bank – since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip – had risen to 4,630 detainees, including those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, and those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure.

The ongoing Israeli incursions into various areas of the West Bank come within the framework of raids and arrests of those it describes as its wanted persons, and in light of the continuing attack against the Palestinians since the outbreak of the war on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 20,000 Palestinians.
