The Israeli occupation army arrested 35 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank last night and until Wednesday morning, while today it stormed the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank and besieged its hospitals amid armed clashes with the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
The Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club stated in a joint statement today, Wednesday, that yesterday’s arrests raised the number of detainees in the West Bank alone – including occupied Jerusalem – to more than 10,900 since October 7.
The statement explained that among the detainees were a woman and former prisoners, noting that the arrests were distributed in most of the West Bank governorates and were accompanied by attacks on homes and threats to the families of the detainees.
