On the other hand, the spokesman for the Palestinian Authority security forces said that the security forces were not present at the scene of the journalist’s killing in Jenin, according to investigations.
Yesterday, Saturday, the Palestinian security services announced the killing of one of its members in the ongoing operation in the Jenin camp in the northern occupied West Bank.
The spokesman for the Palestinian security services confirmed the killing of one of its members during the “Protect the Homeland” operation, which has been ongoing since December 14 in the Jenin camp, in what it said was a campaign aimed at “restoring security and stability and saving the lives of citizens from the increasing security chaos.”
Thus, the death toll from the Palestinian security operation in Jenin camp rose to 10, including 4 members of the security services.
Since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Palestinians in the Old City of Hebron – where several settlement outposts are spread – have been subjected to strict security measures and restrictions on movement.
In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army expanded its operations, and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including east of Jerusalem, resulting in the death of 835 Palestinians and the injury of about 6,700, according to official Palestinian data.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 154,000 Palestinians martyred and wounded – most of them children and women – and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
