The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that the situation inside Kamal Adwan Hospital is getting worryingly worse after Israeli forces stormed it, while the World Health Organization confirmed that the situation is catastrophic in northern Gaza.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed the death of two children inside the intensive care department of Kamal Adwan Hospital, after the hospital’s generators stopped and the oxygen station was targeted.
She said that 3 ambulances and a transport vehicle were destroyed, hampering relief and transportation operations, and the electricity generation system through solar panels was also destroyed, which increases the severity of the crisis.
The Ministry provided other information about the situation inside the hospital, saying that the occupation forces searched the hospital and opened fire inside the various departments, which increased the state of panic and anxiety.
She stated that the total number of people inside the hospital is 600 people, including patients, wounded, medical staff, and companions, noting that the number of patients and wounded currently is 195, while the number of medical staff is 70, and 3 nurses and a cleaner were injured during the current events.
She stressed that the situation requires urgent intervention from humanitarian organizations to ensure the safety of everyone and provide the necessary needs.
Hundreds were arrested in the hospital
In the same context, the Civil Defense Service in Gaza said, on Friday evening, that the Israeli army arrested the director of its center in Jabalia Camp, Saeed Shabeer, and a firefighter, during the storming of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the North Governorate, which is being subjected to genocide and ethnic cleansing for the 21st day in a row.
The Civil Defense said, in a statement, that the Israeli occupation army arrested, during its storming of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, both the director of the Civil Defense Center in Jabalia, Saeed Shubair, and the firefighter, Ramadan Al-Aqra’.
He explained that the Israeli army took them to an unknown destination, according to the statement.
Earlier Friday, the Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli army stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital, arresting hundreds of patients, wounded, and medical staff, while the World Health Organization said that it had lost contact with this hospital.
On Wednesday evening, the Civil Defense announced that the Israeli army had suspended its services, targeted its crews, and directly threatened workers if they went to use their vehicles in ambulance and rescue operations.
