The occupation kills a thousand doctors and nurses in Gaza, and Al-Qassam sets up ambushes for its forces in Rafah news

35 people were martyred in Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip, and while the government media office said that the Israeli occupation army killed a thousand doctors and nurses in Gaza, the Al-Qassam Brigades set up several ambushes for the occupation forces east of Rafah, south of the Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced that it was able to clash with an Israeli foot force of 10 soldiers from zero distance, leaving them dead and wounded east of the city of Rafah.

Al-Qassam added, in a separate statement, that it targeted an Israeli force holed up inside a house with an anti-personnel missile on University Street in the El Geneina neighborhood, east of Rafah.

Al-Qassam fighters also targeted a Merkava tank and a D9 bulldozer with “Al-Yassin 105” shells north of Burj Awad in the city of Rafah.

In the northern Gaza Strip, artillery units in the Al-Qassam Brigades bombed the command and control headquarters of the enemy forces penetrating the Al-Tawam area, north of Gaza City, with a barrage of heavy-caliber mortar shells.

Al-Qassam said that it “targeted, in conjunction with the Martyr Jihad Jibril Brigades, the Israeli enemy’s command and control site in the Netzarim axis with 107 missiles.”

For its part, the Israeli army announced the interception of two rockets fired from Gaza towards the Third Eye and Kissufim settlements in the Gaza Strip.

4 massacres

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation forces committed 4 massacres against families in the Strip, resulting in the death of 35 people, while 94 others were injured during the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health added that a number of victims are still under rubble and on the roads, where ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.

The Ministry pointed out that the toll of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip amounted to 44,211 martyrs, while the number of injured reached 100,4567 since October 7, 2023.

In the center of the Gaza Strip, Palestinians mourned the bodies of six martyrs, including two children, from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah.

Four Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli bombing of a house in the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip. Two Palestinians were also martyred and others were injured after an Israeli drone bombed a tent housing displaced people in the Maghazi camp.

Displacement in Shuja’iya

In Gaza City, hundreds were forced to forcibly flee from the Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of the city, towards other areas in the south and center, for fear of being targeted and killed.

The displacement movement came after the Israeli army asked the residents of the neighborhood to evacuate before attacking it, considering it a dangerous combat zone.

Meanwhile, the bakery crisis in Gaza City is worsening due to the scarcity of diesel fuel, the lack of bakeries, and the occupation’s prevention of operating other bakeries.

Video scenes showed citizens crowding in front of the family bakery west of Gaza City for long hours, hoping to get bread to feed their children.

Kamal Adwan Hospital

In the same context, the government media office in the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli army is placing Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia and its medical staff as a target for destruction and killing, stressing that these actions constitute war crimes and combined brutality.

The office indicated, in a statement, that attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital escalated over the past two weeks, with the hospital being subjected to continuous bombardment with shells and bombs from aircraft and direct fire on patient rooms.

He added that since the beginning of the war, the occupation army has been targeting the health system in Gaza by destroying and burning hospitals and medical centers and putting them out of service. More than a thousand doctors and nurses were martyred and more than 310 of them were arrested, in addition to preventing the entry of medical supplies, health delegations, and hundreds of surgeons into the Gaza Strip.

The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, was injured in his left thigh as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted the hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.

The bombing, carried out by an occupation drone, targeted the oxygen station at Kamal Adwan Hospital, amid fears that the hospital would catch fire after an oxygen leak.

The injury raised concerns about Abu Safiya’s health condition due to a shortage of doctors and damage to medical equipment and devices at the hospital, which is one of three barely functioning medical facilities on the northern end of the Gaza Strip.

The attack coincided with the occupation forces continuing their incursion and bombing of the northern outskirts of the Strip in their main attack, which they have been launching since early last month.

Generals plan

In turn, Haaretz newspaper quoted senior Israeli officials as saying that the Israeli army is asking residents of northern Gaza to evacuate their homes, despite the Israeli army’s denial of implementing the generals’ plan in the northern Gaza Strip.

The newspaper added that the Israeli army is systematically demolishing the remaining buildings in Jabalia camp.

She explained that the Jabalia camp area is no longer habitable, and Tel Aviv Tribune had obtained photos showing the effects of destruction in the camp.

Haaretz noted that recent satellite images show the extent of the widespread destruction caused by Israeli ground operations and aerial bombardment in the Jabalia camp.

The Israeli army says that its operations in northern Gaza aim to prevent resistance elements from launching attacks and reorganizing their ranks.

Palestinian residents expressed their fear that the goal is to permanently evacuate part of the Strip and turn it into a buffer zone.
