The Israeli occupation army intensified its bombing of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of about 20 Palestinians, a day after the massacre it committed against the displaced, while the resistance is engaged in clashes with the forces penetrating into several areas of the Gaza Strip.
Since dawn today, the occupation forces have carried out heavy air and artillery bombardment on several areas in Rafah, especially the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, west of the city, in conjunction with the incursion of Israeli vehicles into the area.
According to Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent, the number of martyrs as a result of the Israeli bombing on Rafah since dawn today has risen to 16 martyrs, including 7 who were martyred as a result of the bombing of a tent for displaced persons near the warehouses of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) west of the city.
7 others were martyred at dawn as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted a house north of the city of Rafah. The Red Crescent also announced the death of 3 and the injury of others as a result of the occupation targeting the Al-Abyad Housing area, west of Rafah.
In addition to the displaced people’s tents and homes, the Israeli bombing targeted part of the Indonesian field hospital building in Rafah, and activists also reported that the minarets of several mosques in the Al-Saudi and Tal Al-Sultan neighborhoods were bombed.
