The occupation forces withdraw from Nour Shams camp, and the death toll rises in the West Bank News


The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that it transferred 3 martyrs from Nour Shams camp, east of Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank, after the Israeli occupation forces withdrew from it.

Thus, the number of martyrs who were killed by the fire of the occupation forces that invaded the camp last night and Sunday morning rose to 5 martyrs and 4 wounded, while a sixth young man died from wounds he sustained a few days ago in Jenin camp (north).

The director of ambulance and emergency services in Tulkarm reported that two wounded were transported.

Obstruction and targeting

Earlier, the Red Crescent said, “The occupation forces obstructed the work of ambulance and emergency crews from entering Nour Shams camp to reach the injured, and kidnapped injured people from an ambulance.”

The occupation army had begun its invasion by targeting resistance fighters with a drone that fired a missile at them in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood in Nur Shams. Then it began the invasion, which lasted for hours, destroying streets and infrastructure before withdrawing, and blowing up a house belonging to the family of one of the resistance fighters.

The occupation forces also raided a number of citizens’ homes in the city and the Nour Shams camp east of the city, amid hearing loud explosions and intense gunfire in many neighborhoods.

According to the official Palestinian News Agency, the occupation forces imposed a strict siege on Nour Shams camp before their withdrawal, and pushed their bulldozers and military vehicles to Nablus Street, the roundabout and the entrance to the Iktaba suburb towards the camp, while violent confrontations took place during which heavy bullets were fired, and many of them were bulldozed and destroyed. Streets”.

Total strike

In this context, the national and Islamic forces in Tulkarm Governorate announced a comprehensive strike in all aspects of life in the governorate today, Sunday, to mourn the souls of those killed in Nour Shams camp and Gaza and to denounce the Israeli “crimes and massacres” against the Palestinian people. The Directorate of Education also announced the suspension of school hours in all schools. Governorate schools.

The death toll in Tulkarm Governorate rose to 51 martyrs since October 7, while the number of martyrs in the West Bank rose to 296.

Settlers attack

On the other hand, dozens of “extremist” settlers attacked the Bedouins living on Al-Ma’rajat Road, west of the city of Jericho, east of the occupied West Bank.

Al-Baidar Organization for Defending Bedouin Rights said that dozens of Mevo’ot Jericho settlers stormed Bedouin communities in Al-Ma’rajat 3 times since the morning hours.

The organization added that the settlers threw stones at citizens’ homes and terrorized them, and the people were forced to remain inside their homes, expressing their fear of renewed attacks by these settlers.

In parallel with the devastating war it has been waging on the Gaza Strip since October 7, the Israeli army has intensified raids, searches, arrests, and killings in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the martyrdom of 297 Palestinians, the injury of about 3,430, and the arrest of 4,520, according to official Palestinian sources.

As of Friday evening, the Israeli army had killed 18,800 Palestinians in Gaza and wounded 51,000, most of them children and women, in addition to massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
