The Israeli occupation stormed a number of cities and towns in the West Bank, and launched a campaign of arrests among residents.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that the occupation forces stormed the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank amid heavy gunfire.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Tubas said that they are confronting “the occupation forces’ incursion into the city of Tubas, and we are engaged in violent clashes with bullets and explosive devices in the Al-Thaghra area.”

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Tuqu’, south of Bethlehem in the West Bank.

The occupation forces launched a raid and arrest campaign in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah. Eyewitnesses said that the occupation arrested dozens of citizens and assaulted a number of them.

The Israeli occupation forces continue to storm the town of Sinjil, where they raided homes and turned one of them into a detention and field investigation center.

Activists on social media posted video clips showing the Israeli army arresting Palestinians and blindfolding them.

The occupation forces also raided the city of Yatta and the towns of Sheikh, Sa’ir, and Tarqumiya in the south, north, and west of Hebron, and also raided the Karantina area in central Hebron.

Arrest of a former prisoner

For its part, the official Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) said that the Israeli army arrested a former prisoner from the village of Al-Jalama, north of Jenin.

She added, “The occupation forces arrested the freed prisoner, Yasmine Tayseer Abdel Rahman Shaaban (41 years old), after she was summoned to meet with Israeli intelligence in the Al-Jalama camp.”

She pointed out that the prisoner, Yasmine, “is a mother of four children. She was arrested on March 1, 2022. She had previously spent 5 years in occupation prisons and was released in 2019. She was arrested in 2022 and released in 2024.”

In parallel with the devastating war on the Gaza Strip, settlers escalated their attacks, and the Israeli occupation army escalated its operations in the West Bank, which led in total to the killing of 506 Palestinians since October 7, 2023, the injury of about 5,000, and the arrest of 8,800 Palestinians, according to official Palestinian data.

The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip left about 115,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues the war on Gaza despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and also despite the fact that the International Court of Justice asked it to take immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the humanitarian situation in the Strip.
