On Wednesday, for the second day in a row, the Israeli army continued its operations in the city of Jenin and its camp in the northern West Bank. While it stormed several areas in the West Bank, including the cities of Bethlehem and Qalqilya, the Old City of Nablus, and the Al-Amari camp in Ramallah.

Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation army “expanded its operations in Jenin to include several neighborhoods, during which it bombed 3 Palestinian homes, killed 7 Palestinians and injured a number of others, while arresting at least 100 Palestinians.”

Witnesses indicated that sounds of armed clashes are heard in the city from time to time, in addition to hearing the sound of explosions.

They said that “occupation army forces, accompanied by bulldozers, stormed Jenin from several directions, raided its camp, and deployed snipers on the roofs of high-rise buildings.”

The witnesses added that army forces “imposed a siege on neighborhoods in the camp, and were stationed in front of the emergency entrances to Jenin’s government, al-Razi, and al-Amal hospitals.”

The occupation bulldozers also began to destroy infrastructure and citizens’ property in the camp, according to witnesses.

On the other hand, the occupation army targeted with incendiary missiles the house of the leader of the Jenin Brigade, Uday Bajawi, in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, after it withdrew a number of its vehicles from the camp and redeployed them in the eastern region.

Intrusions

In a related context, the occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, and Palestinian sources reported the outbreak of armed clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of Balata camp, east of the city.

The occupation forces also stormed the city of Qalqilya, wounded a Palestinian child with live bullets, and arrested him while he was on his way to school, according to local sources.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent also reported that members of the Israeli army stormed the city of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank, and Israeli special forces stormed the Al-Amari camp in Ramallah and the Al-Aroub camp north of Hebron.

The occupation forces arrested a number of young Palestinians during their storming of the town of Hizma in the occupied Jerusalem district. They also arrested a freed prisoner in the Old City of Nablus.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli army has intensified its raids and arrests in cities and towns in the West Bank, in conjunction with a devastating war it has been waging against Gaza since the seventh of last October, which left thousands dead and wounded in the Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll in the West Bank had risen to 282, while the number of detainees in the city of Jenin and its camp had reached 400 since October 7, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club.
