The occupation declares its control over the entire Philadelphia axis, and the resistance targets it in Rafah and Beit Lahia News

The Israeli army announced control of the Philadelphia border axis in Gaza on Wednesday, while the Palestinian resistance said it targeted it in Rafah in the south and Beit Lahia in the north.

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said that the army took complete control of the Philadelphia axis, and added that they found tunnels and missile platforms in the Philadelphia axis and that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) exploited it in its operations, according to his claim.

He pointed out that Israel is transmitting information to the Egyptians regarding the tunnels, and we cannot be certain that all the tunnels we discovered cross into Egypt.

Strategic Communications Coordinator at the US National Security Council, John Kirby, said that the Israeli side informed us of its plans regarding Rafah, which included movement towards the Philadelphia Corridor.

On the other hand, the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Hamas movement – announced that its fighters in the southern Gaza Strip detonated a thunder bomb against a force of 15 occupation soldiers, leaving them dead and wounded east of Rafah.

Al-Qassam said that yesterday, Tuesday, its fighters killed 6 Israeli soldiers by targeting and sniping, during a complex operation, in which an Israeli force was lured into an ambush near Al-Shoka School, east of Rafah.

Al-Qassam said that its fighters targeted the rescue force, and that the occupation killed a soldier whom Al-Qassam tried to capture, while a helicopter landed to transport the dead and wounded during the aforementioned operation.

Also in the Al-Shoka area, Al-Qassam fighters targeted Israeli soldiers with an anti-personnel missile after they had barricaded themselves in a house. They also managed to snipe an Israeli soldier in the same area.

Al-Qassam announced that 5 Israeli Merkava tanks were targeted with “Al-Yassin 105” shells in several areas in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and in Jabalia, in the north.

It also announced that two Israeli “9D” bulldozers were targeted with a “Al-Yassin 105” shell in the Tal Zorob area in the Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – said that its resistance fighters destroyed an Israeli tank with anti-armor shells in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Beit Lahia project in the northern Gaza Strip.

The brigades said, “We bombed with 60-caliber mortar shells enemy soldiers and vehicles penetrating the vicinity of Salah al-Din Gate, south of the city of Rafah.”

On the other hand, Israel today sent tanks to carry out attacks around Rafah, and said that its war on Hamas is likely to continue throughout the world, after Washington said that the Israeli attack there does not amount to a major ground operation that requires a change in American policy.

Tzachi Hanegbi, National Security Advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the fighting will continue throughout at least 2024, indicating that Israel is not ready to respond to international calls to reach a ceasefire agreement with Hamas and exchange prisoners held in Gaza.

Israeli tanks advanced to the heart of the city of Rafah for the first time yesterday, Tuesday, despite the International Court of Justice ordering Israel to stop the attack on the city, where many Palestinians took refuge from widespread bombing.
