This comes after two Palestinians were injured by Israeli army gunfire, yesterday evening, Tuesday, during the storming of Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of the city of Hebron.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its crews transported two wounded people from Al-Fawwar camp to the hospital, and explained that one of them was hit by live bullets in the thigh, and the other was hit by live bullet fragments in the leg.
Eyewitnesses told Anatolia that an Israeli force stormed the center of the camp on Tuesday evening, and confrontations broke out during which the occupation forces fired live and rubber bullets and gas bombs, which also led to cases of suffocation.
The occupation forces also continue to storm the Al-Far’a camp, south of the city of Tubas, since the day before yesterday, where occupation vehicles supported by bulldozers are stationed in the streets, and deliberately sabotage and bulldoze the infrastructure, while their forces conduct patrols throughout the camp.
The occupation army also arrested a Palestinian with a disability east of the city of Nablus, on the pretext that he was distributing sweets in joy at a shooting attack targeting Israelis in the northern West Bank, which resulted in the killing and wounding of 11 Israelis two days ago.
Palestinian sources said that Israeli forces stormed the town of Beit Furik and arrested the young man Munther Fahmi Khatahtbeh, with a disability, after raiding and searching his house.
Calls for escalation
Earlier, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for expanding the scope of the occupation army’s operations in the occupied West Bank and moving from the “defense to attack” phase.
This came during his meeting with settler leaders in the West Bank against the backdrop of a Palestinian resistance operation that led to the killing of 3 Israelis and the wounding of 8 others near the Kedumim settlement in the northern West Bank the day before Monday, and a day after he called for the practice of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Jenin and Nablus, indicating that whoever depends on The Palestinian Authority, in protecting his security, will wake up to a “bloody morning.”
In parallel with the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, the occupation army expanded its operations with settlers escalating their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which resulted in a total of 843 Palestinians being martyred and about 6,700 injured, according to official Palestinian data.
