On Friday, the Israeli army bombed a Palestinian vehicle in the Balata refugee camp near Nablus. It also stormed the town of Urif and launched an arrest campaign, in light of continued tensions in the West Bank.

Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that an occupation army reconnaissance plane fired two missiles at a vehicle in the Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank. It survived the first time and then bombed it again, where it was hit after those inside it managed to escape.

Tension has been rising in the West Bank since October 7, as the Israeli army carried out military operations during which 287 Palestinians were killed and others injured, while more than 4,400 Palestinians were arrested.

The Israeli army usually uses reconnaissance aircraft to bomb Palestinian militants and sites in the West Bank.

In the same context, Palestinian officials and international charitable organizations working in the field of health announced yesterday, Thursday, that Israeli forces killed 12 Palestinians during raids in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank over a period of 3 days, including a boy who was shot dead in the outer courtyard of a hospital.

Doctors Without Borders reported that soldiers carrying out operations inside the Khalil Suleiman Hospital complex facing the crowded Jenin refugee camp shot and killed an unarmed 17-year-old boy there.

The director of the Palestinian Red Crescent in Jenin, Mahmoud Al-Saadi, told Reuters by phone that Israel does not allow ambulances to enter the Jenin camp to transport patients.

Reuters quoted eyewitnesses in Jenin that gunmen exchanged fire with soldiers and detonated improvised explosive devices. Residents said that army bulldozers destroyed streets and water lines.

A statement by the occupation army said that soldiers dismantled bomb laboratories in the operation that began on December 12 in Jenin.

Two houses demolished

In another development, the occupation army today demolished the homes of two Palestinian detainees in the town of Urif in the Nablus Governorate in the northern occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that an Israeli force accompanied by bulldozers stormed the town of Urif, south of Nablus, and launched an arrest campaign.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the occupation soldiers’ violation of the sanctity of a mosque in Jenin, and considered this a mockery of religious values.

Clips circulated on social media and verified by Reuters showed soldiers inside a mosque in Jenin using a loudspeaker to repeat a Jewish prayer in a way similar to the Muslim call to prayer.

In response to a question about the events, the IDF told reporters that the soldiers were immediately removed from operational activity.
