The occupation ascends in the West Bank and arrests dozens of Hebron and the settlers’ attacks rises news

The suppression of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians continues in the occupied West Bank through a campaign of escalating incursions and attacks carried out by the occupation forces and settlers in several areas, amid a serious deterioration in the security and humanitarian situation, especially south of the city of Hebron.

Local sources told the island that a Palestinian was wounded today, Sunday, by the Israeli occupation forces, near the Metar checkpoint, south of the city of Hebron, in circumstances that have not been clear yet.

The Palestinian Red Crescent also announced the injury of an elderly person after being severely beaten by the occupation soldiers in the village of Khala al -Daba in the Muffafir area, south of Hebron, during a campaign of incursions and attacks that included the village at dawn today, Sunday.

Interests and arrests

The occupation forces carried out last night and at the dawn of a series of military incursions, which included Al -Aroub camp, the city of Halhoul, north of Hebron and Al -Fawwar camp, in the south, in addition to raids in the city of Bethlehem, where 4 Palestinian citizens were arrested after raiding and searched their homes.

In the same context, the occupation forces suppressed a group of Palestinians who tried to confront the attempt of settlers to expand the fence of the surrounding settlement of the Kamrael settlement on the lands of the Palestinians in the village of Umm al -Khair in the traveler of Yatta.

Sources told Al -Jazeera that the settlers set up a new fence to expand the borders of the settlement at the expense of the village lands, which are just a few days from the homes of the local population.

The same sources reported that the occupation forces fired sound bombs to disperse the Palestinians in Khirbet Umm al -Khair, east of Hebron, and arrested a number of them in the wake of the confrontations with the settlers.

A dangerous rise in settlers’ attacks

The Israeli Army Radio said that the past months have witnessed a 30% increase in incidents of attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian in the West Bank since the beginning of this year.

The radio documented 414 attacks, which included intentional burning, writing racist slogans, throwing stones and violent confrontations, noting that the quality of the attacks has become “more severe and dangerous” compared to previous years.

The arrest of activists in Hebron

In a related context, the Israeli Public Security Agency (the Shin Bet) announced what he called “a wide infrastructure” of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Hebron Governorate.

According to the Israeli statement, more than 60 activists belonging to 10 cells were arrested, the confiscation of 22 weapons and 11 hand grenades, in addition to the discovery of an underground hideout containing weapons and wanted persons.

The Shin Bet said that some of the detainees were involved in previous attacks, including a shooting in 2010, killing 4 Israelis, and an attack near Jerusalem in 2023, killing a soldier.

Continuous aggression

In Tulkarm, the Israeli aggression continued for the 153rd day in a row, amid a suffocating siege and raids of the market, Nablus Street and the areas surrounding the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camp.

During the past weeks, the occupation forces demolished dozens of installations as part of a plan to demolish 106 buildings under the pretext of opening military roads, which resulted in the destruction of more than 500 homes and the displacement of thousands of families.

In Jenin, the aggression entered its 159th day, when the Jenin camp witnessed the bombing of houses, raids and clashes that caused dozens of deaths and mass injuries.

Also, the incursions included the towns of Deir Quds, Tarmasia, Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, where the occupation forces confiscated cameras from commercial stores and installed barriers on the roads.

In the northern Jordan Valley, the frequency of threats and settlement attacks increased, as several families from Khirbet Samra were forced to dismantle their housing and forcibly leave.

In the fever, settlers were detained by cows for a Palestinian citizen, while others stormed the Bedouin Arab Al -Malihat gathering north of Jericho, and they carried out provocative actions with the support of the occupation forces.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, Israeli settlers committed 415 attacks last May alone, which included the destruction of property, the uprooting of trees, the bulldozing of land and armed attacks, as part of a policy aimed at expelling the Palestinians from their lands and imposing new field facts.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli extermination war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israel has simultaneously escalated its military operations in the West Bank.

This comes amid repeated statements from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials to refuse to establish a Palestinian state and go towards an official annexation of the West Bank.

So far, at least 986 Palestinians were martyred and about 7,000 others were wounded in the West Bank, according to official Palestinian data.
